  1. Fast Fashion Vs Slow Fashion Fast fashion refers to mass-produced low-quality clothing at cheap prices, often replicating the newest styles. These clothes are manufactured with synthetic fabrics and manufacturers mass- produce the garments, to beat the competition and market need. This mass production is quick and cheap, which is why it is renowned as fast fashion. Slow fashion refers to clothes that are designed and manufactured eco-friendly without harming the natural resources. It took time to manufacture a single garment that is why it is called slow fashion. Khadi cotton is the best example of slow fashion. Nowadays, slow fashion garments are much designer than fashion clothes. Khadi Shirts for Men, khadi cotton Kurtis for women, Khadi Sarees are some trending clothing attires. Fast Fashion Problems and Slow Fashion Benefits: ●Environmental Effects: Fast fashion industries use cheap unnatural materials like synthetic fabrics, toxic chemicals to meet the demand of the market. The cost of these garments are low as man-made fabrics like polyester is being used while manufacturing the garments. These Synthetic fabrics are exploiting nature. Whereas, slow fashion uses natural materials grown sustainably. In a slow fashion, no toxic chemicals are being used to dye the product. ●Quality: Fast fashion clothes are cheap and the rush for cheap clothes will always result in low or poor quality. These clothes are not durable so one has to throw them and bring them. But these clothes are made up of man-made fabric so they won't get decomposed. The objective of slow fashion is to reduce consumption and reusing the product that you already have. No doubt slow fashion is quite costly but the durability is much more than fast fashion. ●Social Effects: fast fashion does not only have side effects on the environment but also on the workers and farmers who are manufacturing it. There is no exact number that how many farmers and workers involved in the fast fashion textile industry undergo serious circumstances. Someone somewhere is paying for your fast fashion. Whereas sloe fashion has no side effects on the environment, on the worker, on the manufacturer, and even on the wearer. These are the best clothes to wear as do not cause any irritation to the body. We all have heard a story about the Tortoise and the Hare. No doubt hare is fast but it is not able to complete the journey because of its drawbacks. The same things apply to fast fashion. And the

  2. winner of the race of fashion is always Slow fashion just like the Tortoise. So shift to slow fashion as soon as possible to save our planet and lives.
