  1. 5 Tips for Managing Menopause Symptoms When menopause hits, one may start to experience different bodily changes, some of which affect one’s well-being. If you have had to fight disturbing Menopause Symptoms, you are not alone and should not fear asking for remedies. You may also consider the following tips for managing menopause symptoms without medical or other invasive procedures. Managing Night Sweats and Hot Flushes It is natural for one to wake up at night and then roll over and sleep again. However, if one is experiencing hot flashes and night sweats, they may wake up often and stay up for extended periods and then struggle to get back to sleep. The following approaches may help though: Exercising regularly, both physical (for physical fitness) and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy (or PFPT) for pelvic floor health Keeping your bedroom cool during the night Always wear loose cotton pajamas that can make you cool during the night. You may also use light blankets or cotton sheets instead of a heavy duvet Take a cool shower, have a cold drink, or use a fan Wrap ice packs in tea towels as you would with a hot water bottle, only the opposite this time Reduce alcohol, caffeine, and spicy foods intake Quit smoking to reduce hot flushes and chances of developing diseases such as cancer, stroke, and heart disease Managing Mood Changes Some women may start to experience mood changes as well as anxiety when they enter menopause age. Some self-help and at-home remedies may help to deal with such symptoms as low mood. The remedies may include: Enrolling in counseling sessions Trying relaxing activities such as yoga Getting adequate sleep Exercising regularly Practicing mindfulness to reset

  2. Vaginal Dryness and Discomfort Vaginal dryness may set in with menopause followed by discomfort during intercourse. If your vagina starts getting dry, itchy, and you experience pain during menopause, you should see a local GP immediately for a remedy. They may suggest that you get estrogen treatment for putting into your vagina. Vagina moistening creams can also help with lubrication. If you find it hard to exercise, walk, or have penetrative sex, talk to your OB/GYN immediately. If your symptoms persist and make your life miserable, you should see your GP. Consult an expert when the symptoms are out of the ordinary too. You should also avoid self-medication unless with the advice of an expert.
