Ensuring ranchers, outfitters, miners and others to operate on public lands in Boulder-White Clouds. 4. Creates wilderness areas = 318,765 acres; plus releasing 131,616 acres of wilderness study areas.

  3. 1. Economic Development in Custer County. • $5 million to Custer County • Transfer of Federal Lands to Custer County • Transfer of Federal Lands to Blaine County • Transfer of Federal Lands to Stanley, Clayton, Challis and Mackay

Federal Land Transfers Included in H.R. 222 • Blaine County Conveyances, Map #1 total 276 acres / 3 parcels • Blaine County Conveyances, Map #2 total 168 acres / 2 parcels • City of Clayton Conveyances, Clayton Map / 33 acres / 4 parcels • Custer County and City of Mackay / 853 acres / 6 parcels • Custer County and City of Challis / 3,198 / 6 parcels • Stanley and Custer County / 162 acres/ 3 parcels • State of Idaho Ada County Motorized Park / 1000 acres

  6. CIEDRA Considers All Recreation Users • Authorizes the First-Ever Wheel Chair Accessible Trails in Wilderness • Locks in existing Motorized use for ATV and snowmobiles. • Protects approx. 318,000 Acres as Wilderness

  7. 3. Ensuring Ranchers, Outfitters, and others to operate on public land in the BWC. • Grazing Memorandum of Agreement • Outfitters and Guides permit extension

  8. 4. Creates 318,765 acres of Wilderness Area

  9. Three Wilderness Areas = 318,765 acres An area almost ½ the size of Rhode Island • Hemingway-Boulders Wilderness • (110,438 acres) • White Clouds Wilderness (76,657 acres) • Jerry Peak Wilderness (131,670 acres)

More than 5,000 Idahoans have written in support of Congressman Simpson’s efforts. The following organizations/individuals support all and/or part of H.R. 222
