Fr Enel Almeus Works With Young People In Remote Areas Of Haiti
Fr Enel Almeus attained his primary education from a school in Haiti and right after that he spent six years for obtaining secondary education at a High School in Haiti. Upon completion of his college, he went to the Seminary to become a Religious Priest. In 1997, he received a certificate in philosophy and in the year 2002, he gained a Baccalaureate in Theology at the Seminary of Notre Dame of Cazeau and CIFOR in Haiti. Thereafter, he studied English at ESL in Houston, Texas in 2002. In addition, he also completed a certificate in Counseling at University of the West Indies in Trinidad. He is currently enrolled at St John’s University for a Master Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in New York where he has got remission in fee because he is a priest.
Fr Enel Almeus belongs to a family of intellectuals who have interesting backgrounds. Some of them are doctors and lawyers and many are working as businessmen and musicians. He is a compassionate priest who likes playing soccer, table tennis and lawn tennis during his free hours. He also spends his free time in studying. He enjoys the company of people and strives hard to help the needy and the less fortunate in the society. In due course of time, he has developed a culture of helping the people of the society.
Fr Enel Almeus is involved in charity and other social activities. During his youth, he sacrificed his pocket money in order to pay the tuition fee of the children who were unable to attend school due to lack of money. He is also an active member of NADI which is a non-profit organization that works together for the development of Irois. He makes financial as well as moral contributions to this organization. He has emerged as an individual who lives by high moral values in his life particularly in the way he has been conducting his professional front. He believes in what Alfred Adler called Social Interest and Community feeling. He is an optimist whose prime aim is to contribute towards the welfare and integrity of the community.
