  1. Champagne 5EVER ‘Champagne’ by 5ever, from the debut EP ‘Forever’ which was released on Sept 10th 2021. I would say the songs fits in a modern rock genre, with a stereotypical 5 piece band (drums, bass, guitar, lead guitar and singer) and modified and auto-tuned vocals. On Spotify ‘Champagne’ by 5ever has 10,000 views. On Youtube the Music video has 1,000 views and was posted in Aug 2021. The track is 1.41 minutes long and has a 9 second intro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tnftx9F4H6M

  2. The genre To me- just LISTENING to the song, I can hear indie rock influences. The song depicting a ‘youth revolt’ with transgression through electric guitars, catchy chorus and bombastic sound. However, the lead vocals sound like they have been compressed and auto-tuned, especially the featuring second voice that almost sounds like muffled shouting. This adds a modern element of emerging rap and indie songs are using today. When I close my eyes and visualise this song, to me it sounds like an American boy band in the late 90s/2000s. It sounds like it could be from ‘Cheaper by the dozen’ eg/ I’m just a kid…

  3. The idea (Synopsis) The idea is to create a fun, playful and passionate boy band from the late 90s/early 2000s. As 90s fashion is on trend at the moment, we think the branding would be successful. The idea is to show them practising in the lead singers bedroom and performing to their camera like a ‘self-tape’. Whilst listening to the song, I immediately pictured a narrative between two neighbours. The lead singer whilst chilling in his bedroom, spots a stunning girl dancing with her walkman, in her bedroom, through his window. The camera would pan to a wide shot, where the set consists of two bedrooms separated just by a wall. We see the girl climb through the window and into the boys room. A shot following the boys hand pulling her in would (roll) would cut to a over the shoulder shot of the girl entering the boys room full of people listening and watching the band play. At the end we would show a selection of polaroids that we took throughout filming including the behind the scenes and fun party pictures.

  6. Influences ➔ ➔ My initial influence was ‘City Never Sleep’ a previous Hurtwood Music Video. I still listen to the song on repeat and I loved the concept of the music video. My friend was in the 1976 ‘Me and You Together’ Music Video and I remember loving the 90s vibe and the layout and narratives of the video. It presents three separate love stories, The set includes three rooms divided by walls and the camera zooms out at the end showing the behind the scenes. ➔ ➔

  7. The Cast Cheeky Chappy Friendship Group of Boys. Young looking, baggy clothes, bandanas and 90s fashion. Outgoing lead singer Pretty, young looking girl with a big smile and sunny disposition. Be able to portray convincing interest in lead male singer.
