LAS AVES. A estos animales los distinguimos fácilmente porque son los que tienen plumas. En eso se basan los científicos para decidir si un animal es un ave o no. Si tiene plumas: es un ave. Si no tiene plumas: no es un ave.

  1. LAS AVES A estos animales los distinguimos fácilmente porque son los que tienen plumas. En eso se basan los científicos para decidir si un animal es un ave o no. Si tiene plumas: es un ave. Si no tiene plumas: no es un ave. Sólo las aves tienen plumas, y todas las especies de aves tienen plumas.

  2. Las aves son animales vertebrados, eso quiere decir que tienen esqueleto con vértebras. Se diferencian así de los invertebrados como los insectos, los gusanos, los caracoles, las estrellas marinas ... Algunos de estos otros animales tienen esqueletos, pero es un esqueleto diferente.

  3. Las aves descienden de los reptiles. Hace unos 200 millones de años, las escamas se desarrollaron en plumas, surgiendo de esta forma la primera ave. Se estima que existen alrededor de unas 9,700 especies diferentes en estos momentos.
