Teachers’ training Introduction to PCs – major components, connections, start up & shutdown, basic windows, mouse skills Many teachers demonstrated strong interest by staying back after formal lessons for further self learning.
Good Practices: • Improvement on pre-setup with engagement of all parties during site assessment – local charity, contractors and teachers. • Infrastructure - Lighting, Switches, Fans, Partitions, Door & Window security, Grounding, UPS. • Wall mount LAN connection (avoids messy cable runs that would be prone to rat attacks) • LCD Monitors – lower power load, eyesight protection • Attached Library • Students’ help for setup • Teachers’ training session • Pre-setup of HDD Image (OS settings, applications) at Sarvodaya HQ • Hard Disk Backup & Recovery process (Restore from HDD, Restore from bootable DVD) • Train local IT on maintenance, image recovery • Good communication between all parties.
