Before the introduction of Dry ice cleaning or dry ice blast cleaning, for many people finding an efficient and user friendly cleaning process that is also safe and cost effective was actually a challenge. With the introduction of this cleaning technique, time required for cleaning has been reduced by almost 75% - 90% and as dry ice is also relatively less expensive and also easy to store – it is also one of the most affordable cleaning techniques currently available for various industrial requirements. Dry ice which is actually nothing but the solid carbon dioxide is a non-abrasive element and can be used with equal efficiency on both delicate and hard surfaces. In ice blast cleaning with dry ice machine a pellet ice maker is used for creating the pellets for recycled carbon dioxide which are then released through a high velocity nozzle for creating microscopic size shock wave explosion on the surface that is being cleaned. Apart from the kinetic energy carried by the pellets travelling at supersonic speed the extremely low temperature of the ice pellets also creates a thermal differential on heating the surfaces and this combination of kinetic energy generated shock wave blast and thermal differential efficiently cleaning all surfaces of any kind of unwanted material. Apart from its cost advantage what makes dry ice blast cleaning the preferred choice is its environment friendliness. Carbon dioxide is the only end product generated in the process which naturally exists in it.
