How the MSME Promotion Council of India is Helping MSMEs to Export their Products and Services MSME-PCI Support For Indian MSME Exporters The MSME Promotion Council of India (MSME-PCI) is a non-profit organisation set up by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, to promote the growth and development of the MSME sector in India. The MSME-PCI plays a vital role in helping MSMEs to export their products and services to global markets.

How to Export Products from India The process of exporting products from India can be complex and time-consuming, but the MSME-PCI can help MSMEs to navigate the process and ensure that their exports are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. The first step in exporting products from India is to obtain an Importer Exporter Code (IEC) from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). The IEC is a unique 10-digit code that is required for all businesses that import or export goods from India. Once an IEC has been obtained, the exporter must register with the DGFT and obtain an export licence for the products that they wish to export. The export licence is required for all exports, except for those products that are exempt from licensing. Once the export licence has been obtained, the exporter must prepare the necessary export documentation, such as the commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading. The exporter must also declare the goods to the customs authorities and obtain customs clearance before the goods can be exported. The MSME-PCI can help MSMEs with all aspects of the export process, from obtaining an IEC to preparing the necessary export documentation.
