The girl in the house, Dorothy Gale from Kansas, is sent by the Wizard to kill Elphaba. Dorothy wants to apologize for killing Elphaba’s sister. Wild with grief, Elphaba accidentally sets herself on fire. Dorothy, trying to save the witch, douses her with a bucket of water, but melts her instead. Why Is She Wicked?
