  1. Know your Leader: Chandrashekar V. Sthavaramata Chandrashekar V. Sthavaramata is the State’s Spokesperson of JDU. He is a straight-forward person and enforces value-based politics. His approach towards politics is quite different, so is JDU’s. Their approach is to identify the problem and find solutions before people come to them. He doesn’t dream big but has big aspirations. He will be satisfied as an MLA or a Corporator, as long as he gets to help people and work for the society. He is happy with serving the people and making a difference in their lives. Chandrashekar’s inspiration figure is Ramakrishna Hegde. He recalls meeting him at a very young age. His mother took him to meet Ramakrishna Hegde when he was in 4th standard for the transfer of his brother. He was inspired by Mr. Hegde’s work, like the Jantadarshan program. Failed attempts in other career paths, eventually led him to join the Politics. He had a lot of opportunities from other parties, but because of Ramakrishna Hegde, he had no reason to look beyond JDU.

  2. Know your Leader: Chandrashekar V. Sthavaramata He started his political journey in 2014. He joined JDU when MP Nadagouda was the state, President. He witnessed the party splitting in two – Nitish Kumar and Sharad Yadav and joined to follow in the leadership of Sharad Yadav. When Mr. Yadav formed an alliance with RJD, Chandrashekar moved back to JDU under Nitish Kumar. He was a State General Secretary when he joined, and he believes in collective leadership. Internal afflicts are common, but Mr. Stavarmat believes, if all the JDU members put behind their differences and work towards a common goal with determination, they could accomplish so much more. He is also passionate about working for social causes. He gained recognition from the media when working on projects like saving varthur and jakkur lake, BDA Bangalore flyover, etc. He is happily married to Nagarathna R. and has two kids, a girl and a boy. A little back history, his father was the Deputy Superintendent of Police. He was born on 26/7/1975 to Veeraiyaswamy & Ansuyamma Stavarmat in Raichur. His father died when he was 2 years old. 3. He began his social work during his degree days. He used to go to slums for conducting vayaskara shikshana for teaching them how to read and write. Even till date, he takes classes (trains/coaches) for KAS in rural areas. After graduation, he joined the Birla group of companies as an accounts officer. He worked on the watershed project for the government of Karnataka where he was the senior project accountant. He served there from 2002-2004. From 2006-2010, he worked in Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation for a Municipal Reform Project as the accounts officer. In 2010 he resigned and started preparing for KAS to follow his inkling towards civil work. He passed the preliminary round but the High Court canceled the selection for 2011 batch. He aspired to become an IAS/KAS officer but when his dream didn’t come true he joined the JDU party – the only other way he knew how to help eradicate corruption and server the society. For more details visit our Website : http://jdukarnataka.co.in/ Be a part of the JDU family!!
