7 Things You're Recycling Wrong junk removal cost Recycling things is a very good initiative but not all things can be recycled. And there is a chance that you are recycling other things wrong. There are various junk removal companies which provide curbside bins to different households. You can put different things in that bin which will be taken for recycling. If your junk removal cost is higher, you can choose the different things to recycle and even selling. There are things that you are recycling wrong. You might not even know this but here are those things: 1. Disposable Cups You might feel the responsibility to recycle the disposable cups. These cups are lined with a thin film of polythene. Because of this film of polythene, these cups are liquid proof. Hence, they are very difficult to recycle or reprocess. If you put them in the recycling bin, these disposable cups will most likely contaminate the other things. Most junk removal companies treat the disposable cups as trash because their recycling is very difficult. 2. Pizza Boxes Pizza boxes are greased with oil. It is impossible to separate the oil from the cardboard and hence, the material will not be valuable. If the junk removal cost is high, you can use the greasy pizza box but tear the box and use the less oily side to recycle. 3. Yogurt Cups Yogurt cups are non-recyclable plastic. China banned used plastic which declined the market for them. Hence, recycling such items will not be valuable and marketable. Junk removal New York costs are not very high for less weighing plastic. So, it is better to throw them out in the trash.
4. Coffee Cups Paper coffee cups are also lined with a thin film of polythene. They are also very difficult to recycle. But not all cups are lined with polythene. Therefore, do not throw them in the curbside bin for recycling before knowing if they have polythene film or not. 5. Bottle Caps Some places will not allow the recycling of plastic bottle caps. But some will allow them if they are firmly and tightly screwed on the bottles. You have to check the rules of the local recyclers. 6. Shopping Bags Plastic bags should not be put into recyclers. They are literally a nightmare for the machines as they will ultimately clog in them. Many recyclers do not allow to drop in plastic bags, but some of them do so. You might feel the need to recycle plastic bags because they are a threat to the environment. But their recycling is also very dangerous. 7. Takeout Containers Which Are Oily Take out containers can be recycled but the issue is with food residues left in them. Before putting them out for recycling, wash the take-out containers thoroughly to wash off food residues. In this way, you will help the recyclers. Bonus – 8. Diapers There are some people who actually throw out dirty diapers for recycling. You should never do this! This is seriously bad for the machines. Human waste should never mix with other wastes. A little food residue will contaminate the whole batch; a whole diaper would be a disaster.
