  2. About Ed • Born December 12, 1863 • He suffered extreme anxiety attacks most of his life • Painting was his only reason to live • He died January 23, 1944

His Education(How he learned to create art) • His mom and sister both died of tuberculosis by the time he was 14, he became obsessed with portraying their death. • An old family friend named Christian Krohg taught him how to express himself through using colors and painting. • After Krohg died, he moved to Paris. This greatly inspired him to stay with his style.

  5. “Why am I not like other’s are? Why has there always been a curse on my cradle.” These emotions had everything to do with his artwork
