Main differences from the basic CB Scheme • Testing to IEC Standards for national differences in target countries • Ensuring documented compliance of the product’s components • Recognizing certification bodies not to request product samples • Initial and/or periodic surveillance of production, including audit of manufacturer’squality system
Conformity Assessment Certificates with Conformity Assessment Reports • The IECEE CB-FCS entails mutual recognition of Conformity Assessment Certificates (CACs) with associated Conformity Assessment Reports (CARs), amongst National Certification Bodies (NCBs) having signed the CB-FCS Multi-lateral Agreement (MLA) • The CACs with CARs may also be used for direct acceptance in the market place
What the Scheme offers • International comprehensive certification scheme for electrical products • Product Certification Scheme No. 5 according to International Standard ISO/IEC 17067 • Allowing for acceptance of both testing and factory surveillance by all parties concerned
