Population • 37 students enrolled • One team – 2 classes • Overage for grade (1 – 3 years) • Within 15 points of passing CRCT • Passed 7th grade • Teacher recommendation • Academic motivation/potential • Commitment • Parent/student meetings held (contracts) • Every student interviewed (BHS/DMS)

  4. Committed, Quality Teachers

  5. Support Services • Counselor* • Social Worker* • Academic Support Lab • Completion Coach & Graduation Coach • Mentor for each student • 21st Century After-School Program (grant funded) • Saturday School • Fast Camp *Denotes support from both sites.

  6. Curriculum • Language arts/math everyday - 90 minutes • Physical science/world history every other day - 90 minutes • Language arts/math skills lab every other day – 90 minutes • Tutorial sessions

  7. Assessment • Spring/Summer CRCT Scores (baseline) • USA Test Prep software (lab based) • District Quarterly Assessments • Common assessments all math units (pre/post)
