  3. OBJECTIVES ♥ TO REMOVE ILLITERACY ♥ TO ERADICATE CHILD LABOUR ♥ TO SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT VULNERABILITY FOR HIV/AIDS AGE GROUP 5 YEARS TO 18 YEARS

  4. BACKGROUND ☻Started with the help of USAID/FHI/ SAMARTH Project ☻ Initiated by Mr. Bhoi & Mr. Prakash Jha on 5th February’07. ☻Place was suggested by Honb. Trustee Mr. Sanjoy Roy.

  5. REGISTRATION TOTAL – 331 ☻BOYS- 201☻ GIRLS- 130 ☼ Staying with Parents – 90% ☼ Without parents – 10% Most of them are from Bangladesh, Bihar, UP and MP.

  6. MEDICAL FACILITY Dr. Sanjana and Dr. Taruna Anand come to us for medical check up. ♀Check Up – 60 ♀Ref. to Hospital – 07 ♀ First Aid – 200 ♀Dog Bite – 05 ♀Case of Epilepsy – 01

  7. EDUCATION PROVIDE ALL MEANS OF EDUCATION AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT TO THE CHILDREN. ۩Formal – 8 (1st -1, 3rd – 2, 4th – 2, 5th – 3) ۩Non-formal – 323 ۩Preparing children for NIOS

  8. TRANSFER & REPATRIATION WE TRANSFER CHILDREN TO S.B.T SHELTER FOR EDUCATION ♦ To DIS through CHILDLINE –06 ♦ To Arushi – 01 ♦ Repatriation (Bihar) – 02

  9. COUNSELING & MHP MH Program carries out in the center by Ms. Surbhi Psycho-social Counseling – 37 children

  10. LSE & GROUP SESSION LSE EMPOWERS CHILDREN TO TAKE RIGHT DECISION IN RIGHT TIME ☺LSE SESSION(Sept’07-March’08) - 19 ☺ Children Covered - 45 ☺ Group Session Conducted - 40 ☺ Parents Meeting - 14

  12. GAMES & SPORTS Provide Recreation Facilities to the Children Cricket Badminton Lido Carom Chess Kabaddi Karate Run

  13. TOUR ♠Local – 2 To Zoo and Kutub Minar - 30 children ♠ Annual – 1 To Nainital 8 children

  14. CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP CENRE STAFFS PARTICIPATED IN DIFFERENT CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOPS AREAS COVERED ARE - • TEACHER TRAINING • MENTAL HEALTH • LIFE SKILL • HIV/AIDS AND SEX & SEXUALIT

  15. SESITIZATION & ADVOCACY Time to time done with Shop keepers, Police, Medical staff, Parking Staffs. MCD people and older boy etc.

  16. CELEBRATION HOLI DIWALI ID INDEPENDENCE DAY REPUBLIC DAY RAKSHA BANDHAN

  17. ACHIEVEMENT Got sitting place in Food van Transferred 7 and repatriated 2 children 8 Children going to school

  18. SUCCESS STORY A girl child of 12 years, lost her parents and staying with another family who forced her to beg. After a series of motivation and counseling to the child and the family, the child transferred to Arushi. Now she is staying happily and reading in Class 1st.

  19. CHALLANGES Proper & safe space Staff Difficult to motivate children staying with parents

  20. FUTURE PLAN Enroll more children in School Introduce NIOS Find a better and safe space
