  2. The Orange Line of the Delhi Metro Airport Express train system debuted in February 2011. It reduces the minimum travel time to Delhi Airport from at least one hour to roughly 20 minutes. It is a much-anticipated addition to Delhi's developing Metro rail network. The 22 kilometres (13.7 miles) are travelled by trains imported from Spain at a speed of 120 kilometres per hour. A little more than 10 miles (16 kilometres) of the track are underground. The journey by city train is the quickest in all of India.

  3. Where are the stations of Delhi Metro Airport Express Line? From the New Delhi Metro Station to Dwarka Sector 21, the Airport Metro Express Line travels. The Ajmeri Gate side of New Delhi Railway Station is home to New Delhi Metro Station (to the east). There are around two minutes of walking distance between the two stations. There are a few crucial points to bear in mind, though.

  4. You will be close to Platform 16 at New Delhi Railway Station after you leave New Delhi Metro Station. This is convenient if your train is leaving from a platform with a higher platform number (New Delhi Railway Station has 16 platforms), but less so if it is leaving from Platform 1 on the Paharganj side of the station. Platform 1 to Platform 16 may be reached by foot in roughly 15 minutes. At the exit, porters in red shirts are available to help you and carry your stuff (be prepared to pay around 100 rupees per bag). Alternatively, you might find it simpler to take a pre-paid taxi from the Delhi airport to the Paharganj entrance of New Delhi Railway Station if you have a lot of luggage or small children.

  5. Delhi AeroCity (the airport's new hospitality area) and international Terminal 3 are two of the stations on the Airport Metro Express Line that are close to Delhi Airport. An underground station that is related to the terminal structure is the IGI airport terminal 3 metro station. You'll find signage pointing in that direction in the arrivals area after clearing customs. You can get to the level where the station is by elevator. You may take a trolley to get your things there, and it is only a short walk away. Domestic Terminal 2 at the airport, which handles all GoAir flights as well as a few IndiGo and SpiceJet flights, has access to the Terminal 3 station. The distance between the two terminals may be covered on foot in under five minutes. Other stations of the Airport Metro Express Line are DhaulaKuan and Shivaji Stadium.
