  1. Bonding Sealing Coating Potting Impregnation

  2. Bonding is the method of securely uniting two surfaces by employing a suitable adhesive like epoxy adhesives. Adhesives find applications in numerous industries, including electronics, medical, food, optical, chemical, and the oil and gas sectors, to effectively bond a wide array of materials, encompassing metals, ceramics, glass, plastics, rubber, and composites.

  3. In contrast to bonding, where two surfaces are joined, sealants serve the purpose of sealing gaps and voids to prevent the passage of fluids, dust, and contaminants in both directions. Sealants find extensive applications in aerospace, oil and gas, chemical, electronics, optics, automotive, and various specialty OEM industries.

  4. Coatings have primary applications in the aerospace and electronic conformal coating industries, with additional usage in OEM, oil, and chemical sectors. Industrial adhesive coatings offer exceptional protection against chemicals, dust, and moisture, while also reducing friction, enhancing abrasion resistance, and providing EMI/RFI shielding.

  5. Potting serves as an encapsulation technique employed within the electronics sector to envelop both compact and sizeable electrical components housed within a protective enclosure. This involves the use of a suitable potting material capable of enduring elevated temperatures and safeguarding the circuits against moisture, contaminants, dust, and other challenging environmental conditions.

  6. Impregnation is a process employed to saturate a variety of fibers, including glass, carbon, kevlar, aramid, and more. After ensuring complete saturation of the fibers with resin, the resin is permitted to cure in its location, giving rise to a composite substrate. These impregnated composite surfaces find extensive applications in industries such as aerospace, wind energy, electronics, and electrical engineering.
