Making of a Webcast, what do you need ? • Add a camera to video tape the event. • Add computers to take the video and convert for the webcast. • Add the Internet to get the global reach. • Put them all together and you have a live webcast.
What is Clarke Webcast? • Not a replacement to being in the audience. • Not a replacement for watching the event on television. • Includes everyone who could not attend in person. • A way to broadcast information globally that would be impossible to do through print, television, or radio.
Mastering the Content • Content: the most important element in the making of a Webcast. • Content consists of news and features, jokes, weather, sports scores, gossip, audio clips, cartoons, and more.
Webcast Success • Improved the webcast content based on user response. • Expanded all possibilities to utilize the latest technology in webcasting. • Based on alumni interest, target events with the highest response. • Our goal: Keeping the alumni involved as part of Clarke’s future.

Making of a Logo • Idea No. 1 - Old TV with a picture of a world hooked to a mouse. Resembles old and new. • Idea No. 2 - World with antenna - connection around the world to Clarke. • Idea No. 3 - TV connected to the the world, resembles a ‘50s TV with an antenna.

Finish the Logo • Font selected was Magneto resembled “George Jetson.” • An ellipse was used to enclose the word “Clarke” and was shaded with blue metallic and embossed to resemble a ‘50s Chevy.
