  2. How would you want to work with a colleague who is under the influence of drug abuse? Can you imagine what kind of working environment you would have? Employees who are under such unlawful acts pose security threats in the workplace.

  3. Supporting the implementation of drug testing in the workplace is the pre-employment screening. There are employers who conduct random drug testing despite the concerns of some employees that their privacy are being violated.

  4. However, there would be a greater damage if the implementation of pre-employment screening is going to be disregarded. If drug-related accidents happen, it is not just the employees who fill face the consequences but as well as the company is going to be liable.

  5. Pre-employment screening has been a target of controversy among businesses; there will be always be two sides of a coin. But there are also an alternative process like impairment testing; measuring brain function of an individual's current state.
