Why We’re Here Today Bring AA&E stakeholders together to discuss: • AA&E Implementation Plan status and other relevant issues • Ensure we are all on the same page on: • Roles and responsibilities • Who’s doing what and when • Expectations/next steps • Synchronize our efforts • Discuss Sub-Group and other related efforts • Identify and share new issues, ideas and initiatives • Obtain feedback

3. Summary of AIP Status • All 14 actions sets started or completed • Summary and status of each AIP is included on page 2 of your binders and is maintained on the TP website • 9 AIPs completed with respect to the AA&E Implementation Plan requirements • “After-actions” or “follow-on tasks” have been identified and assigned to some of the completed AIPs; • AIPs will remain open until the after-actions are completed • Some AIPs, such as AIP 9 which involves identifying/pursuing innovative distribution alternatives/initiatives is on-going, but is considered closed since the ICG is an established group with a communication process.

Key Events Since December 2008 Meeting • Key Products Delivered • Safety and security of AA&E while in the retrograde/return process • Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) • Delivered DAC Intern Survey Report (April 2009) • Updated Marketing/Outreach Plan for HAZMAT Community of Practice • Defense Transportation Tracking System Program Management Office (DTTS PMO) • Conducted CONUS satellite tracking demonstration of AA&E rail shipments • Developed a test plan for the OCONUS portion of satellite tracking test

5. Key Events Since December 2008 Meeting (CONT) • The ICG Transportation Sub-Group continues to meet to address and coordinate key AA&E issues • DUSD (L&MR) vacant, but Principal Assistant Deputy is acting and the Acting ADUSD (TP) are very supportive of the ICG

6. Other Coordination Efforts • Continue to monitor the TSA Government Coordinating Council (GCC) and Modal GCC meetings • Efforts continue to improve carrier screening across DoD • Pursuing adding the requirement for EPLS vetting at all tiers, for all commercial carrier scenarios (tender, FAR, CULT, HN, ASCA) • DTR (in formal staffing) • FCRP • Unified Pub (in formal staffing) • OTO Program • FAR/DFARS (in progress)

7. Review of Action Items from Last Meeting 1. OSD (TP) will arrange a conference call with OUSD (I), DSS, and DCMA to address the findings within the AA&E Contractor Security assessment 2. DSCA will provide copies of the revised transportation chapters in 5100.38M to the ICG 3. USNORTHCOM will provide in February 2009 a written response describing their position on assuming responsibility from the AOC for notification of AA&E accidents/incidents 4. SDDC will pursue making TRANSS inspection findings metrics available

8. Review of Action Items from Last Meeting (CONT) 5. The Transportation Subgroup will meet to decide about moving firearms via BPA and the 5100.76M changes 6. LMI will send copies of DAC’s Certification and Tracking report with the ICG minutes 7. DAC, SDDC, and the Services will coordinate to resolve the 80 hour HAZMAT certification training issue 8. OUSD (I) will add CDR Muniz to the mailing list for the monthly physical security review board
