  3. Context • Start with ‘in conclusion’ • Address the factor in the question with relation to the issue (i.e Rise of the Nazis)

  4. Example In conclusion, there were several reasons why the Nazis’ support grew up to 1933.

  5. Factors • Explain the factors which answer the question (missing out the one in the issue)

  6. Example These factors included the political weaknesses of Weimar such as the ‘stab in the back’, major economic problems up to 1933 such as hyperinflation, the appeal of the Nazi party and propaganda and the failure of any opposition parties such as those on the Left to unite against the Nazis.

  7. Argument • Explain why the issue in the question was of importance • Highlight the fact it was just one of many key factors

  8. Example The Weimar government’s acceptance of the Treaty of Versailles meant they were doomed from the start and this in turn helped the Nazis gain voters. However, it was just one of several key factors in the rise of the Nazis.
