Mahindra Susten Safety during Sandstorms
What to do if a Dust-storm strikes ? • Sand / dust storms are common during the summer season especially in the state of Rajasthan and a few small checks could go a long way to save someone’s life • Plant Design and Maintenance • The plant design needs to be robust, with the ability to withstand the highest wind speed (sustained gust over a 3-second period) over 50 years (~ 180 km/h) • Carry out scheduled maintenance for the PV plant, tightening of PV modules, MMS, Cables and detect or avoid any danger • Before and During the Storm • Pay heed to any Dust storm warning you receive • Move to a covered location; if not possible move to a higher ground • Use a mask or wet cloth to cover your face • Shield yourself from flying objects and stay away from possible hazards – PV Tables, Switchyard, and HT lines
