Warning to Lovett School - unless she has supervision (which she didn’t at ESD), don’t trust she will treat your children appropriately. She can go for from sweet and warm-sounding to nasty and vicious and even searching ways to harm kids - entirely based on how she feels.

  2. We are writing as a courtesy to provide the true backstory about your newly hired employee Meredyth Cole. The undersigned have all been associated with the Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD)her prior employer and we have nothing to gain from sending this letter except to do what we think is the right and just thing. • By way of background, prior to hiring her, ESD had suffered a major court judgment in a child abuse case which resulted in the departure of the school’s autocratic founder. As a result of the reputational damage, ESD had a difficult time attracting experienced candidates and ended up hiring Cole who had no prior experience as head of school, and who, after 26 years in middle management, had been passed over for promotion multiple times. • Who would have ever guessed that she was so nasty. She systematically punished any of the boys who her son didn't like. And her son was the problem. He drank and smoked dope. She must have been embarrassed by how bad he was but mentally she could not deal with it so she punished other boys instead.
