    Issues to Consider ‘Reported levels of poor health are significantly higher in Wales than in the rest of the UK’ – Better Wales Ingredients labelling – what does it mean? Nutrition labelling – does the confusing information help people eat a balanced diet? Health claims - do foods do what they say they will? Food safety - poor hygiene practice in shops restaurants and our own kitchens, how do we know how healthy the food we eat is? GM foods – What is this all about?

    Improve your lifestyle and concentration Eat Breakfast – complex carbohydrates give slow, sustained release of essential sugars for brain function e.g. muesli or wholemeal toast Snack on friut and nuts to keep up energy and remain alert Eat fish 3x weekly for omega 3 and 6 oils, essential for optimum neural impulse transmission too Eat organic – reduce intake of chemicals Eat 3x daily – little and often as opposed to once daily, maintains steady levels of energy Eat for your sport – chess or a 10 mile run? Drink 2 litres of water during the day - more if out the night before! Discover fruit and veg (5x daily)
