Normal variations • Children • penis/scrotum size variation, • edema in scrotum of newborn, • non-descended testicle, • transient erections, • foreskin non-retractable
Adults/Older Adults • Dorsal vein apparent • Lumps in scrotal skin • Color variation in scrotum, pubic hair • Elderly-more pendulous scrotum (gravity?) • Thinning of pubic hair in old age
Common Concerns • Children-hygiene related rashes, burning at urethral meatus, self - exploration • Adolescents-Nocturnal ejaculation, sexual desires and experimentation, lumps... • Adults-Infertility, hernias, discharge, erectile dysfx, lumps in groin or testes • Elderly-Erectile dysfx, prostate problems
