Knees-to-chest pose Stretch out the muscles in your lower back and piriformis, a pear-shaped muscle located deep down your lower back, with the help of the knees to the chest pose. First, lie flat on your back with your legs straight and the backs of your knees touching the ground. While exhaling, bend your knees and gently bring your thighs to your chest. Keep your back flat against the ground and hug your arms around your knees. Hold yourself for 30 seconds in the same pose and start taking slow, steady breaths. Now gently release your legs back to their original position on the ground. Cobra pose With your legs straight, lie flat on your stomach, then place your palms on the ground next to you. Tuck your elbows close to your sides. Lift your chest off the ground while inhaling by pushing through your arms. Arch your back, but your hips and lower body should be pressed against the ground. Hold this posture for 10 to 20 seconds by taking in slow, deep breaths. Now gently lower your torso back to the ground. Cat-cow pose The cat-cow pose enhances the forward and backward bending of the lower back and improves the flexibility of the spinal cord, posture, and balance. Begin by getting down on all fours with your knees bent and your hands on the floor. The back and neck should be in a neutral, straight position. Slowly inhale and tighten your lower abdomen in such a way that you are rounding your back towards the ceiling. And hold the pose for 5 seconds. Exhale and return to your older position. Inhale and arch your lower back slightly, stretching your tailbone out. Now exhale and return to the neutral position.
