The Challenge Getting a customer to switch from credit-card payment to a less-costly automated clearinghouse (ACH) debit transaction can be tricky. One remedy is to make the process easier. What follows are the patented steps that Pat Lewis of KickBack Rewards Systems and Oasis Stop N Go, Twin Falls, Idaho, has initiated at his operations. Step 1: Swipe It The employee swipes the customer’s loyalty card. May 4, 2007
Step 2: Run a Check She then runs a customer’s blank check through an image reader. May 4, 2007
Step 3: Validate It The customer’s driver’s license or identification receives validation. May 4, 2007
Step 4: PIN It Then the customer picks and punches in a personal identification number (PIN). May 4, 2007
Step 5: Print It An agreement form prints out. May 4, 2007
Step 6: Sign It The customer signs the form and the process concludes. May 4, 2007
