  5. Opening Journal • Turn to page 11 in your student handbook. • Last lesson, we had the chance to learn about the different types of postsecondary education that are available to you. We also completed pages 7 and 8. These pages helped us understand how postsecondary education can affect the amount of money you will make.

  6. According to Holland • According to John Holland's theory, most people are one of six personality types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional.

  9. Career Interest Inventory • Turn to page 12 in your student handbook • Next, place a checkmark next to each item that you feel describes you. • Count the number of checkmarks and place that number in the final column.

  10. Holland Codes • R-Realistic Theme: “R” theme people usually have good physical skills, but sometimes have trouble expressing themselves in words or in communicating their feelings to others.

  11. Holland Codes • I-Investigative Theme: “I” theme people tend to center around science and scientific activities.

  12. Holland Codes • A-Artistic Theme: “A” theme people like to work in artistic settings where there are many opportunities for self-expression.
