  1. Anti blue light is so important, so for people who are already nearsighted, can they use anti myopia blue light glasses? "The answer is no, we evaluated the different sleep conditions and melatonin levels of people implanted with blue light filtered intraocular lenses (IOLs) and ordinary intraocular lenses (IOLs) after one year, respectively.". After a year of surgery, the average 24-hour melatonin levels in each intraocular lens group during preoperative and one-year follow-up visits were no different for ordinary intraocular lenses, but the peak concentration of melatonin in blue-light filtered intraocular lenses was 50% lower than a year ago. This experimental result is a bit unexpected. Generally, we may think that the concentration of melatonin in blue-light filtered intraocular lenses should be increased, which also means that short-sighted blue light glasses need to be worn for a long time, and may also achieve the same results. Why would it be lower instead? This is due to the fact that people implanted with blue light filtering intraocular lenses are equivalent to wearing anti blue light glasses 24 hours a day, and are exposed to low blue light all the time, without the opportunity to be exposed to the light with the highest blue light peak in natural light. The non imaging visual cell ipRGC cannot determine whether to notify the pineal gland to secrete the corresponding melatonin by sensing the changes in the intensity of blue light during the day, This leads to insufficient secretion of melatonin at night, which directly affects the quality of sleep. This also proves that anti blue light glasses are not suitable for all-weather use, as we need to adjust the changes in melatonin concentration through comparison of blue light intake at different time periods during the day and night to further improve the quality of night sleep. If we add anti blue light effects to myopia glasses, the effect after wearing them will be the same as in this experiment of implanting blue light filtering intraocular lenses. The concentration of melatonin will instead decrease, affecting sleep. Therefore, it is not recommended to apply anti blue light effects to myopia glasses, as this will hinder the positive regulation of blue light on our biological clock during the daytime.
