  1. Travel on a Teacher's Budget Teaching is an industry that is notorious for the low pay. There are many teachers out there that struggle to make a living and take care of their families despite their noble work. You might think that teachers get three months off with the students, but they actually still use that time to work, so it can be hard to find time for a vacation. Even when you do find the time for a vacation, it is so hard to pay for it on a teacher salary. Unless you have a spouse that makes up for your earnings, vacations might be a non-starter for you. Instead of being afraid of a vacation, think a little about the ways that you can save money on your vacation. You want to still enjoy all of the food and fun of that place, but you can save when you think of a few things to work with your teacher’s pay. Here are a few ways you can save on vacation to still go as a teacher. Teacher Discounts These can be hard to find, but there are some vacation spots or hotels that offer certain discounts for teachers. You might want to talk to other teachers about this to hear their

  2. experiences because they can help point you in the right direction, but there might be a more affordable vacation waiting for you thanks to your teacher status. Plan in Advance and Be Flexible Just because the average teacher salary is not that high, it does not mean that you are not going to be able to go, but you might have to make some sacrifices. If you are able to, plan your trip as far in advance as possible. You might want to start looking and keep looking at ticket prices every day. If you are able to find a time of a sale, make sure to buy in that window. The other thing to know is that you should try out different timing schemes. If you choose to fly at an odd time of day or odd day of the week, you might be able to take advantage of low demand to save on the price of a ticket. There are some sites that teach you tricks about cheap airfare, but you might be required to make multiple stops or fly on an odd day. If you are able to sacrifice flexibility, you can make it up by also saving money. Source:http://savings4teachers.com/travel-on-a- teachers-budget.html
