Peter Thiel, entirely Peter Andreas Thiel (born October 11, 1967, Frankfurt am Main, West Germany), German-American entrepreneur and commercial director who helped found PayPal, an e-commerce company, and Palantir Technologies, a participating software firm into data analysis.
