Dutch international retailer – Ahold Delhaize, with having 35 supermarkets brand around the world, announced it would use tap-to-go technology in its Albert Heijn stores, is a supermarket chain. The company’s General Manager Jan Willem Dockheer shares his insight, “We want to offer our customers plenty of choice, quality and convenience anytime and anywhere and with the help of “Tap-To-Go” technology, we really bring that convenience to the next level.” This new technology will enhance the whole shopping experience and completely cut the extra time to invest in a line for checkout. But, along with it also creates unemployment as many cashiers will be going to be jobless.
