  1. German language is a part of Germanic language which is widely spoken by more than 110 million people all across the globe. It is official language of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Tyrol and Liechtenstein. It is mainly spoken in central Europe. It is the second most widely spoken Germanic language after English.

  2. It is the most widely spoken language in European Union and the third most taught foreign language in United States and European Union. German is the second most commonly used scientific language. The One tenth of all the books ever published in this world is in German language. Most of the German words are derived from Indo-European language family.

  3. In terms of trade and economy, Germany has emerged as largest national economy in Europe and possesses the fourth largest nominal GDP in the world. In 2014, Germany held the record of the world’s highest trade surplus of worth $285 billion and with that became the biggest exporter globally.
