Outlines • Purpose • Individual broadband usage behavior、Household broadband usage behavior • Survey Period • Jul. 3-15 2003 • Population • 23 counties of Taiwan, 6,456,662 households in total （2000 Population & Housing Census, Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting & Statistics） • Survey Group • Households within 23 counties of Taiwan, people who are over 12 years old • Sampling • Obtain stratified random samples from 23 counties of Taiwan. Within each layer, samples are allocated proportionally. Use random sampling method to choose target sample from members who are over 12 years old of the selected household. • Survey Method • Telephone interview using CATI system，5523 valid sample completed

Assumption Method of Numbers of Users • For number of people：Three dimension weighting method • Three dimension estimate weighted the people over 12 years old in Taiwan by their inhabited county, gender and age. • Population bases on “Population Census of Taiwan” in Jun. 2003 • For number of households：Two dimension weighting method • Two dimension estimate weighted the households in Taiwan by their inhabited county and number of members in the families. • Survey domain bases on “2000 Population & Housing Census” made by Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting & Statistics • Note — County：23 counties in Taiwan Gender ：male、female Age：12-56 years olds，every 5 years per level, 7 levels in total Number of family members：1 to 8 people and above, 5 layers in total
