Every day. • Afternoon registration if students have period 5 or 6. • Punctuality to lessons. • Use of study periods. • Reporting absences. • Poor attendance and punctuality has a huge impact on: • Progress and results • Applications • School community

Year 12 ASsessment • Transition Examinations w/b 8th October • Formal mock examinations – January • Formal mock examinations – June • AS examinations will only be taken where students are opting to discontinue a course at the end of Year 12. • All formal public examinations (A Level) will take place at the end of Year 13 • BTEC formal public examinations will take place at 4 points across the 2 year period • Transition conversations where necessary at the end of year 12.

They will using their judgement to say whether they feel you are on track to meet your end of Y13 target grade.

  29. How Can Parents Support? • Managing time Meeting deadlines – know the course Revision timetable • Creating structured study time at home • Post-18 options • Managing any ‘paid work’ time • Encouraging effort • Remind to act on feedback.

  30. Bursary and the discretionary fund Students are eligible for small payments each month if they were claiming Free School Meals in Year 11. We also have a fund all students can apply to for travel, courses and resources to help their studies. Directly linked to attendance and meeting of deadlines. Paid directly in to bank account at the end of each month.
