Russian transport passage “North sea route” in the system of international transport passages The Ministry of regions of the RF has included the project of Arkhangelsk deepwater port construction into elaborating conception of long-term socio-economic development of the Russian Federation: “for provision including functioning of “the North sea route”
LAYOUT of Deepwater district “Northern” of Arkhangelsk sea-port Deepwater district “Northern” is planned to be arranged in the north-eastern part of the Dry sea inlet in Dvinsky bay
Realization of the investment project will allow: • To build up-to-date deep-water freight zone of Arkhangelsk sea-port for processing approximately 28 mln. tons per year • To provide acceptance of freight ships with dead-weight tonnage up to 75000 tons • To form extra up to 9000 new workplaces in Arkhangels region • To rise all-level budget incomings
Port`s turnover of goods Freight zone consists of 4 independent pick-and-place complexes with general turnover of goods: 28 mln. tons per year Specialized containers pick-and-place complex (turnover of goods: 17,5 mln. tons per year) Specialized bulk-oil cargos` pick-and-place complex (turnover of goods: 2,5 mln. tons per year) Specialized coal pick-and-place complex (turnover of goods: 5,5 mln. tons per year) Universal Complex
Acceptance, mooring, download and upload of carriers • Aceptance of cargos from adjacent types of transport • Cargo dispatch by railway and auto -transport • Conducting of export-import cargos customs control
Investment project realization is provided for on the basis of public-private partnership Capital investments into construction of mooring hydrotechnical installations and objects of coast infrastructure
Approximate terms of construction of immediate objects consist 44 months Production activity of the complex : from the 4th quarter of the 2nd year, Reach of total output: 3rd quarter of the 5th year Investments payback period : 8,3 years
