EU Commission Approved Indicative Maps for Ukraine Railways and Autoroads

In 2018, EU Commission approved indicative transport maps for Ukraine, enhancing connections with Trans-European Transport Corridors. This supports TRACECA prognosis on the "New Silk Way." The European Agreement on Important International Combined Transport Lines and Related Installations from 1991 aids in the Renaissance and reconstruction of railways and autoroads, facilitating transit through Ukraine. These developments strengthen connections between TEN-T corridors through Romania, Ukraine, and Poland, bypassing the Carpathians and linking North Sea-Baltic, Rhine-Danube, and Orient/East-Med corridors. The potential of 1520 mm contrailer freight traffic is integrated with neighboring EU countries' railways, including Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania.
