Infrastructure • Based on technology developed by Google for very-scale data processing (Big Data) • Apache Open Source project • Provides rapid data processing using massive clusters of commodity servers • WorldCat now operating on to a Hadoop cluster of 50 servers – no effect on production services. • eBay recently did the same thing.
