Edinburgh Principles The Edinburgh Principles mirror the guiding principles for community care of people with dementia in the general population; and Reinforce the notion that people with ID affected by dementia experience the same type of challenges and can benefit from the same types of progressive services ADI’s Global Perspective (April 2002: Vol. 12, no. 1; p.6)
