Barcode Scanner • Purposes • Scan the National Drug Code Number of the pill bottle • Get name of pill and expiration date of prescription by cross-checking with the NDC database on the computer • Danny and Kevin in charge • Was to be done by Wed. of last week

Does the Scanner Work? • Yes! No configuration required. • How it works: • Quickly reads barcodes • Converts them to ASCII data • Sends the code to a text field • Follows the code with a carriage return
