AP Members • Expectations • Attend the annual meeting at CEM, quarterly teleconferences, and any special interim meetings (physical or via phone) scheduled by the Chair. Advisory Panel members are selected for their individual merit and expertise, not as organizational representatives. For this reason, and to help ensure continuity, priority invitations to all events will be sent to Advisory Panel members. When necessary, Panel members may suggest a substitute attend in their place, subject to review by CEM’s Director. • Become familiar with the operations and programs of CEM and the University • Provide perspective from outside CEM and UT on developments, trends, and other influences that impact CEM in setting objectives and conducting its charter • Contribute to the identification of important issues and assist in the formulation of recommendations to help CEM and UT continuously improve academic and research programs • Review CEM's Strategic Plan and provide feedback for its improvement
AP Chair • Support CEM’s Director in presenting the Advisory Panel Findings to UT • Support CEM’s Director in University discussions and briefings • Lead in leveraging the perspective of industrial partners and others in reinforcing CEM’s value to UT • Review and comment on CEM’s Annual Panel meeting agendas and interim meetings as necessary
