  2. Five Star Listeners • Eyes on me • Ears listening • Lips closed • Hands still • Feet still When I shout Five Star Listener, I expect all students to immediately do what is listed above. (This will be practiced daily for the first couple of weeks.)

  3. Homework Policies • Students will keep a daily binder • Homework is due the following day (unless told other wise) • For homework not completed will result in a zero (student can redo the homework, but the highest grade to be made will be an 80) • Late homework will be an automatic 20 points off

  4. Daily Binder • Are to be checked daily • Bring back to class daily Daily Binder Consists of: Weekly behavior chart Homework Calendar with due dates Important information

  5. Be prepared to be a five star listener Talk in Turn & no talking while others talk Classroom Behavior Walk

  6. Discipline

  7. Class DOJO • A software that records daily behavior • Student create their own characters • Parents login to keep updated on their child’s behavior • Lets practice!!! http://www.classdojo.com/

  8. Rewards • Every week the student with the most points gets to choose from the Fun in a Jug • Every 6 weeks, the student with the most points gets to be the teacher for a day • At the end of the year, the student with the most points will receive a special gift from me • If every one together gets over 10,000 points by the end of the school year, they will receive a popcorn party

  9. Consequences For Unacceptable Behavior • 1ST offence will result in signing the Black Book • 2nd offence – no recess • 3rd offence – two recess detentions (you waste my time, I will waste yours) • 4th offence – Discipline Referral, contact parents or legal guardian and 30 minutes after school detention • 5th and last offence – Discipline Referral and Principle

  10. Unacceptable Behavior Includes • Arguing with the teacher • Talking while the teacher is talking • Bullying • Fighting • Refuses to do work • Not doing/turning in homework assignments
