  1. Since We Are Christians The Purpose of the Christian Life

  2. Saved For a Purpose (Romans 8:28) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (NKJV)

  3. Saved For a Purpose (2 Timothy 1:7-9) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, (NKJV)

  4. Our Purpose: To Live a Sinless Life (Romans 6:1-9) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also…

  5. Our Purpose: To Live a Sinless Life …should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. (NKJV)

  6. Our Purpose: To Live a Sinless Life (1 John 5:18) We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. (NKJV)

  7. Our Purpose: To Grow (Romans 12:2) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (NKJV)

  8. Our Purpose: To Grow (1 Peter 2:1-2) Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, (NKJV)

  9. Our Purpose: To Grow (Hebrews 5:11-14) of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. (NKJV)

  10. Our Purpose: To Grow (John 10:27) "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. (NKJV)

  11. Our Purpose: To Worship (1 Peter 2:4-5) Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrificesacceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

  12. Our Purpose: To Worship (1 Corinthians 3:17) If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. (NKJV)

  13. Our Purpose: To Worship (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. (NKJV)

  14. Our Purpose: To Share With Others (1 Peter 2:9) But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; (NKJV)

  15. Our Purpose: To Live as Ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20) Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. (NKJV)

  16. Our Purpose: To Live a Christ-Like Life (1 Peter 2:18-25) Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us…

  17. Our Purpose: To Live a Christ-Like Life …leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. (NKJV)

  18. Our Purpose: To Share With Others (John 8:31) Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him,"If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. (NKJV)
