  2. E-Mail Marketing – Why do it • E-mail is a cheaper substitute for Direct Mail • Its quick and easy to send • Results are easily tracked and Monitored • You can be specific when you send them as you know they will land immediately

  3. E-Mail marketing:the possibilities are endless! Always have various links to different pages of your website Why not add the personal touch . Add in 1st names or salutations to grab the readers eye! Use plenty of colour and images. Put links on the images or important highlighted words Now you ask…. Why so many links???

Why track clicks?? • The importance of having different links is you can begin to build a better picture of what interests your prospects so you can begin targeting them more specifically. • We can identify who has clicked on which links more often and therefore we can design the next mailshot based on the results.

  5. Good and Bad examples Remember its not just the overall look of the e-mail think about the 1st thing we see in the preview box, this will determine whether or not they open it!

  6. Why use a host to send your E-Mails? • How up to date is your database? If you send e-mails off to incorrect e-mail addresses often there is a chance the server will recognise this as spam, this will then begin to block your e-mails • NRG use a white listed IP address so your e-mails have a guaranteed delivery. • We also include all of the legal opt out bits so we can tell you if anyone doesn’t want to receive your offers anymore

Make sure you choose your target market carefully • Plan personalised, colour full mailing pieces – you have just 3- 5 seconds before your mailer heads for the bin • When to send out – timing is very important • Postage discounts – what is available and what are the implications for your mailing
