  2. BABE’S FAMILY HISTORY AND SIBILINGS George Herman JR. -He was the first child out of eight children to be born. - During 12 years at Saint Mary’s School he rarely saw his family. -His mothers name is Karen Loretta Ruth . -His fathers name is George Herman Ruth .

  3. HIS LIFE AS A CHILD - He was born in Baltimore , Maryland -His birthday is was Feb. 6 ,1948 -He helped his mom a lot because she was sick most of the time. -He went to an all boys school named Saint Mary’s School for Boys. -He and his sister were the only children to survive birth.

  4. Random Facts Babe’s 1st homerun was at Yankee Stadium - He showed everyone it was possible to hit a Home run at Yankee Stadium -He played for several other teams , not just the for the Yankees. -Most Valuable Player is called The Babe Ruth Award

  5. More Facts - The famous candybar “Babe Ruth” was named after him when he died He was in the Hall of Fame. Babe had many nicknames such as: “The Babe”, “The Great Bambino”, “The Sultan of Swat”, and much more. When he was 19 he was offered a contract with the Baltimore Orioles.
