  2. Summary • Babe Ruth is one of the best baseball players of all time. He played 6 years for the Boston Red Sox, 15 years for the New York Yankees, and 1 year for the Boston Braves (Current Day Atlanta Braves). He was also considered the home run king. He hit 60 home runs in 1927. He usually hit at least 40 home runs almost every season. But did you know he started as a pitcher!! He was also one of the best pitchers in the league when he pitched Babe Ruth won seven world series in his whole career. 3 with the Boston Red Sox (1915,1916,1918).
