  1. Know Some Great Ways to Handle Your Kids Back-To-School Anxieties While some kids would literally enjoy going to the school, others won’t. School going phobia is very common among children and it often takes a toll on the parents. It is at the same time quite disturbing for the parents to come in terms with their children’s teary eyes and extreme fear that often comes with their very idea of going to school. Combating this problem is extremely important for helping your kid with a problem free mental set up and a healthy ambience to learn and assimilate. Know your kid’s fear its causes of anxiety and try to treat it with care. Well, treating such anxieties is never possible until and unless the parents are equipped with certain understandings and strategies. Here are some of the tips that you can follow to treat your kid’s back-to-school anxieties. Put stress on socialization: A child can always makes a difference between the comfort zone of the house and the estranged outside world which unlike the house is unfamiliar to a child. The very cause of this unfamiliarity is the child’s incapacity to socialize. Thus your first target would be to help your child gain friends, interact freely with them, be outspoken, and be interactive. Involve your kid in such activities like competitions and team works where the child needs to interact with many others. Giving your kid exposure to family gatherings and get-togethers can also help them learn how to socialize. A child can easily fight back the anxieties once it learns how to socialize. Involve the child in problem solving activities: Train your kid to solve its own problems without getting stressed. Give them situations where they need to help themselves out. Ask them what they would be doing if a worst situation arises. This training would help them to deal with scary situations both real and imaginative. Teach your child the ways and means of being mindful: Mindfulness is a great way to meditate and once this is mastered, one can win over all anxieties and anticipatory fears. Mindfulness is best mastered through the practice of believing in the ‘Now’, the moment. Give your child some assignment to keep them engrossed and teach your kid the importance of reaching the goal. A daily dose of yoga can help them out a lot. A conscious breathing in and breathing out, sitting in a relaxed posture is also a great way to master mindfulness. Role play with your kid: This is a great way to teach your kid how to cope with difficult situations. Interchange roles and create some imaginary situations, for example imagine yourself to be a kid who has been punished by the teacher. Let your kid take up the role of the teacher. See how your kid handles such a situation. These are some of the ways and means through which a kid can be helped to overcome its back-to- school phobia and anxieties.
