CROWN Project • Project of 15 homes in three different cities • Came about through a collaborative effort
Process • First application to NIFA in September 2006 was unsuccessful • Developer and DAD Housing committee persisted • By November 2009 all 15 homes occupied • Some locations have a waiting list
Innovative Points • Applicant for FIT funds (trust funds) was Dawson County • Their willingness to be overall applicant made homes possible in Lexington, Cozad, and Gothenburg • Different approach for CROWN project required cooperation from many entities and people
Interior • 3 bedroom • 2 bathroom • Double car garage • All appliances furnished • Security system • Once-a-year general cleaning provided by management
Exterior • Sod, trees, and sprinkler system installed • Playground equipment furnished in backyards
