Evaluate the Project Selection Strategy Some questions about your project selection you should consider: • Are you investing in high cost, spot locations or corridors? • Is your spending so dispersed that feels difficult to accomplish goals? • Are you getting to a few miles or to many? Could you get to more? • Which safety features have had the greatest positive impact to the most highway users? • Are your solutions & countermeasures matched to your greatest problems? • Are there opportunities to partner with other programs, jurisdictions? Can you extend a 3R project? Can you do more than usual in a safety project? • Are you balanced in your approach – segment only, intersection only, blended?
